Holy Lands yellow slip ware pottery jug

A pottery juglet with a bulbous body and single rounded handle, the surface is coated in a dense yellow/cream slip.

The lip of the has been rim restored quite crudely, area of surface loss on one side of the body.

Ex. collection: H.E. Ambassador Carlo Perrone-Capano. Acquired during the 1960's while stationed as Italian envoy to Damascus, Syria.
