A button shaped stamp seal carved from cream coloured calcite. The seal surface is decorated with a stylised gazelle or goat. Northern Mesopotamia, late 3rd Millennium BC Size: 1.9 x 0.7 cms. A few tiny chips along the edge otherwise intact with an even and smooth patina. Ex. Astarte Gallery, London W1. Acquired before 1983.
