A black and white granite(?) stamp seal fragment decorated with a series of radiating curved strokes.

Mesopotamia, 3rd Millennium BC.

Size: 2.1 x 1.4 cms.

Half of the seal has been lost.

Sold with an epoxy resin seal impression.

Formerly in the stock of a West End London dealership which ceased trading in 1988. Acquired during the 1970's/1980's on the London art market.
