A dark grey steatite amuletic seal with two sides, each one decorated with a striding quadruped. Mesopotamia, 3rd Millennium BC Size: 1.8 x 1.3 cms. General wear and some chips to the sides. Ex. Astarte Gallery, Grosvenor Square, London. Acquired during the 1970's or 1980's. We do not and will not trade in antiquities from the region of Mesopotamia which are not fully compliant with current UN sanctions. This item was a UK property prior to the first Gulf War.
