A solid cast bronze figure of a cockerel with incised plumage along the tail.

This figure is probably a finial from an ornate vessel.

Eastern Mediterranean, Islamic, c. 10th Century AD

Intact as shown.

Size: 4.9 x 2.6 cms, 5.8 cms with display stand.

Ex. private collection, The Netherlands. Acquired 1970's. Mounted on a wooden display block.
