A red slip ware pottery oil lamp with a very unusual shape consisting of a saucer covered in a bee-hive shaped oil container pierced to the lower part to hold the wick. Roman, North African colonies, c. 3rd or 4th Century AD Exceptionally well preserved, some very small surface chips otherwise intact. Size: 10.5 x 5.8 cms Ex. private collection, UK. Acquired in London during the 1980's/90's.
