Roman pottery ram shaped askos

A large red slip ware moulded pottery askos jug in the form of a ram. The top is mounted with a strap handle next to the filling aperture and the ram's mouth forms the spout.

Roman, North African colonies, c. 3rd Century AD

Size: 14.9 x 24 cms

Repaired quite crudely from multiple fragments with a few small patches of restoration.
