A pottery canteen shaped vessel with a pale cream slip body and brown linear painted decoration. The shape evolved so that the vessel could be worn slung over a shoulder and suspended by a chord attached to the two handles.

North America, South Western Indian region, possibly Acoma, Zuni or Anasazi.

Some light wear otherwise intact

Size: 15 x 14 cms

Ex. collection: Jacques Schotte, Belgium, 1928-2007. Dr. Schotte was the co-founder of the Belgian School of Psychoanalysis.
