Roman blue glass "eye" bead

A sizeable dark blue glass bead decorated with multiple blue and white eyes.

The surface is covered in a thin layer of pale calcified patina which reveals the full dark blue colour of the bead when dampened.

Roman, 1st or 2nd Century AD

Intact.
