Greek pottery decorated dish

A handsome black glazed pottery plate with a robust flared body and small pedestal foot. The centre of the dish is decorated with a stamped flower design surrounded by four palmettes.

Greek, Central Italian colonies, 4th Century BC

Size: 12.7 x 3 cms.

Intact, some light wear around the rim of the bowl has been painted over.

Ex. Elias-Vaes collection, The Netherlands. Acquired during the 1960's/1970's and subsequently on public display at the Kralings Museum in Rotterdam-Kralingen.
