Greek Athenian Geometric pottery dish

A fine buff pottery dish with painted decoration and two handles. The inside is decorated with plain concentric bands and the exterior is carefully painted with a vibrant radiating leaf pattern.

Greek, Athens, Late Geometric, end of 8th Century BC

Size: 26 x 4 cms (across handles).

Repaired from two pieces; some small chips and areas of wear, mainly around the rim and handles.
