Greek Attic black glazed pottery mug

A black glazed pottery mug with a squat globular body and a single handle composed of two conjoined strips. The base is reserved except for a single black line following the internal edge of the foot.

Greek, Athens, 5th Century BC

Size: 8 x 11.7 cms.

Repaired from several pieces with patches of restoration next to the handle and on one side of the rim.

Ex. Elias-Vaes collection, The Netherlands. Acquired during the 1960's/1970's and subsequently on public display at the Kralings Museum in Rotterdam-Kralingen.
