Greek Hellenistic fine red pottery bowl |
£180 |
|
A low and wide pottery bowl with a rounded base and inward curving rim. This bowl has an unusual and very elegant construction which allows the inside and the outside surfaces to flow in an uninterrupted line: there is no definition or profile between the rim and base. The vessel is perfectly balanced and stands unassisted. Greek, Hellenistic, c. 1st Century BC. A few very minor chips, basically intact. Size: 16.5 x 4 cms Provenance: Ex. Blomberg collection, Sweden. Acquired c. 1950's. Antiquities |Books |Ordering |Postage |Contact us |Email |Links |Shopping cart |Mailing list |Home
