Greek Boeotian pottery wine kantharos

A fine quality black glazed pottery kantharos cup with two ring handles and a sharply profiled body. The rim of the foot is reserved and the underside is painted with concentric circles to form an apotropaic eye.

Greek, Boeotian, late 5th Century BC

Size: 9.4 x 14.1 cms

Foot crudely repaired from several pieces; one handle chipped and a few small chips on the rim.
