A fragment from the torso of a blue glazed faience figure holding a young infant, presumably a Classicising representation of Isis and Horus.

Egypt, Roman Period, 1st to 3rd Century AD

Size: 4.5 x 4.2 cms, 8.1 cms including stand

Ex. collection: Ken Tullett, Dorset, UK; acquired 1970's/1980's. This item is part of a collection of several hundred antiquities accumulated over 50 years in London and the South Coast. Mr. Tullett frequently authenticated his purchases with the British Museum and kept notes on many items detailing where they were bought; where such references are available we will include details with the item when sold.
