A well modelled blue glazed and painted faience shabti with clear details and a legible (as yet un-translated) inscription along the front of the legs. Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, 21st or 22nd Dynasty, 11th to 9th Century BC Some chips on the foot, otherwise intact with only minor surface wear and discolouration as seen in the photographs. Size: 10.6 x 3.8 cms Provenance: Ex. private collection, Dorset, UK. Acquired during the 19th Century. This forms part of a collection of a few dozen objects which have remained untouched in an attic since the 1960's.
