A sizeable hollow moulded terracotta head depicting the god Harpocrates wearing the side-lock of youth.

Egypt, Roman Period, c. 1st Century AD

Fragment as shown, general surface wear

Size: 5.8 x 5.8 cms

Provenance: Ex. private collection, Dorset, UK. Acquired during the 19th Century. This forms part of a collection of a few dozen objects which have remained untouched in an attic since the 1960's.
