A tactile and aesthetically pleasing large moulded and glazed faience amulet fragment in the form of a seated hawk. A bright yellowish-green glaze covers the surface below a layer of old collection patina. Egypt, Late Dynastic or Ptolemaic, 1st Millennium BC Base lost, chip from beak and chest. Size: 2.9 x 1.6 cms Ex. Mustaki collection, Cairo, c. 1940/50's. Exported under licence from the Egyptian State.
