A buff pottery disc-shaped flask with two handles and a tall neck. Each side is decorated with a protruding "nipple" surrounded by painted circles.

Cyprus, Early Iron Age, 1050-650 BC

Most of the rim has been lost, one side of the vessel is quite worn.

Size: 12.8 x 8.4 cms

Ex. collection: Ken Tullett, Dorset, UK; acquired 1970's/1980's. This item is part of a collection of several hundred antiquities accumulated over 50 years in London and the South Coast. Mr. Tullett frequently authenticated his purchases with the British Museum and kept notes on many items detailing where they were bought; where such references are available we will include details with the item when sold.
