A red pottery hemispherical drinking bowl with a single pierced lug handle and burnished surface.

Cyprus, Early Bronze Age, 2700-1900 BC

A small chip on the rim has been restored, the inside surface of the bowl is worn

Size: 5 x 9.9 cms

Ex. collection: Jorgen Jacobsen, Bornholm, Denmark. Acquired while on UN duty with the Danish peace-keeping forces on Cyprus (Dancon X/XI) between October 1968 and October 1969. This item is part of a large collection of Cypriot antiquities acquired by Mr Jacobsen from antiques shops in Cyprus during his one-year stay on the island.
