A pottery cup painted with a dark grey slip and decorated with red wavy lines.

Cyprus, Middle Bronze Age, c. 1900-1650 BC

Handle lost; much of the decoration has eroded, especially around the outside.

Size: 10.2 x 5.7 cms

Ex. collection: Jorgen Jacobsen, Bornholm, Denmark. Acquired while on UN duty with the Danish peace-keeping forces on Cyprus (Dancon X/XI) between October 1968 and October 1969. This item is part of a large collection of Cypriot antiquities acquired by Mr Jacobsen from antiques shops in Cyprus during his one-year stay on the island.
