Cypriot Bronze Age pottery cup

A hand-formed shallow pottery cup with a rounded body and single strap handle.

Cyprus, Middle Bronze Age, 1900-1650 BC

Some small chips on the rim otherwise intact

Size: 3.6 x 11.8 cms (to tip of handle)

Ex. collection: Jorgen Jacobsen, Bornholm, Denmark. Acquired while on UN duty with the Danish peace-keeping forces on Cyprus (Dancon X/XI) between October 1968 and October 1969. This item is part of a large collection of Cypriot antiquities acquired by Mr Jacobsen from antiques shops in Cyprus during his one-year stay on the island.
