Egyptian faience composite deity amulet |

An unusual moulded and glazed faience amulet in the form of a composite deity. The animal shaped figure appears to have the fore-parts of a human (possibly Ptah), the head of a ram (Khnum), and wears a tall crown. Egypt, Late Dynastic or Ptolemaic period, 1st Millennium BC. Some damage to the glaze as seen in the photographs. Size: 2.05 x 1.4 cms Provenance: Ex. private collection, Wiltshire, UK. Acquired before c. 1970.
