A blue glazed faience amulet in the form of a serpent.

Egypt, Dynasty XVIII, Amarna, 14th Century BC

Size: 1.5 x 0.9 cms

Suspension loop lost, the relief moulding of the design is far clearer than the photograph suggests.

Ex. collection: C. R. Stone, UK; acquired around Heliopolis in Egypt during the early 1940's. Mr. Stone was attached to the intelligence division of the Royal Air Force and based in Egypt for a large part of World War II.
