A light blue glazed faience amulet in the form of the male genitalia and pubic region. The exact meaning of these amulets is unclear but they probably signified strength or virilty rather than having any sexual meaning. Parthian, c. 1st -3rd Century AD Small surface chip to lower right corner. Size: 1.7 x 1.4 cms. Ex. Astarte Gallery, Grosvenor Square, London. Acquired during the 1970's or 1980's.
